
Born in Peculiar, MO, USA on March 25, 2000, he currently lives in Kansas City. Zach began his musical aspirations early, with a production of the Wizard of Oz. He continued participating in choir and musical theatre throughout his schooling, placing well in multiple district and state level competitions. (MTNA, MSHSAA, BlueStar, NAfME).
Zach began his undergraduate study at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2018 working with the esteemed tenor Steven Tharp. Throughout his college years he discovered his love of Opera. Starting in the chorus of “Die Zauberflöte” , Zach would perform in supporting and leading roles in everything from Britten to Verdi with the Show-Me Opera. He participated in his first Young Artist Program in the summer of 2019 following his first place win of the MTNA vocal contest: SiFest in their production of “Il Trovatore” by Verdi. Upon graduating with a Bachelor’s in Music, he worked for a disposal company willing to give him long periods of leave to pursue his ambitions in the fine arts.
He has performed everywhere from Wichita, to DisneyWorld, even overseas. He found work with the Landlocked Opera company in the summer following his graduation in 2023 as Don Curzio in their production of “Le Nozze di Figaro”. He then performed with Opera Kansas the following winter in their production of “HMS Pinafore”. In the summer of 2024 he took on the role of Paolino in “Il Matrimonio Segreto” by Domenico Cimarosa with Opera Seme and Spazio Seme in Arezzo, Italy. He is currently in Wichita performing the role of Miles Zegner with Opera Kansas in their production of Missy Mazzoli’s “Proving Up“. Afterward, Zach will begin work with Wichita Grand Opera in “La Cenerentola” by Rossini.
